Pharmaceutical Outsert Folder

The T520 Pharmaceutical Outsert Folder is an 18-fold plate folding machine. It can fold a sheet of paper 18 times. Most machines have 2 fold plates but can only do 2 folds. So it can fold the paper into much smaller sizes than those machines, and it can also do more folds.
It can fold the paper into very small sizes for packaging inserts.

The main reason people buy 18-fold plate folding machines is to fold the paper into smaller sizes than the two-fold plate folding machines. It can fold 18 times on a sheet of paper, while ordinary machines can only fold it twice. The picture below shows the fan-shaped (accordion-style) origami that these machines can fold into. Ordinary machines can only fold the first two times.

It is called a pharmaceutical folding machine because it can fold the paper that is contained in the small pill packaging. 

Cross-folding system

If you need to fold the width as well, you will need a two-machine cross-folding system. The first machine folds along the length of the paper, and the second machine folds the width in half.
