1. Paper jam failure
Paper jam at paper input port
reason:
Improper pressure on the paper feed roller. If the pressure is too high, the paper may be squeezed excessively. If the pressure is too small, the paper may not be fed smoothly.
The surface of the paper feed roller is worn or dirty, causing uneven friction and preventing the paper from entering smoothly.
The paper is not placed neatly or the paper quality is poor, such as moisture, wrinkles, etc.
Solution:
Adjust the paper feed roller pressure, and adjust the pressure appropriately according to the thickness and texture of the paper through the pressure adjustment knob on the device, so that the paper can enter smoothly without being over-squeezed.
Clean the surface of the paper feed roller and gently wipe it with a damp cloth to remove dirt and impurities. If the paper feed roller is severely worn, it should be replaced in time.
Rearrange the paper to make sure it is placed neatly. Poor-quality paper, such as paper that is damp, should be replaced with dry, flat paper.
2.Paper jam during paper transport
reason:
Poor synchronization between transport rollers results in inconsistent paper speed during transport, causing accumulation or stretching.
There are foreign objects in the transmission channel, which hinders the normal transmission of paper.
The paper guide is inaccurate and cannot effectively guide the paper, causing the paper to deviate from the normal path.
Solution:
Check the synchronization of the transmission roller and see if the transmission belt is loose or worn. If there is any problem, tighten or replace the belt in time. At the same time, check whether the motor and transmission components are working properly and ensure that the transmission roller speed is consistent.
Clean the foreign objects in the transmission channel, open the machine casing, carefully check whether there are paper scraps, tools and other foreign objects in the channel, and clean them.
Adjust the paper guide device so that the paper can be transported along the correct path by adjusting the position and angle of the guide plate. Some folders have guides that can be fine-tuned with knobs or screws.
3.Paper jam in the folded area
reason:
The cooperation between the folding knife and the folding plate is not accurate, the movement trajectory of the folding knife is inaccurate or the position of the folding plate is deviated.
The folding force is inappropriate. For thicker paper, insufficient force of the folding knife may result in incomplete folding, while excessive force may cause the paper to be over-squeezed.
Solution:
Adjust the position of the folding knife and folding plate. According to the equipment's operating manual, use special tools to fine-tune the relative positions of the folding knife and folding plate to ensure that they fit accurately. Professional work is usually required to avoid more serious damage.
Adjust the folding strength. According to the thickness of the paper, use the strength adjustment device on the equipment to increase or decrease the folding strength appropriately. During the adjustment process, you can first use test paper to experiment until you achieve a satisfactory folding effect.
4.The crease position is inaccurate
reason:
The position of the folding knife is shifted, which may be due to machine vibration, wear of transmission parts, or loosening of the folding knife fixing screw.
The paper is offset during transportation, which affects the relative position of the folding knife and the paper.
Solution:
Check and adjust the position of the folding knife and tighten the fixing screw of the folding knife. If the position of the folding knife changes due to wear of transmission parts, worn parts such as gears, belts, etc. need to be replaced.
Check the paper transfer system to ensure that the paper can be transferred to the folding position smoothly and accurately. Feed rollers, transport rollers and guides can be adjusted to reduce paper deflection.
5.The crease angle is not standard
reason:
The folding knife and folding plate are not set at the correct angle, or have become deformed during long-term use.
Changes in the nature and thickness of the paper affected the folding angle, and the equipment was not adjusted in time.
Solution:
Recalibrate the angle of the folding knife and folding plate, and use professional tools to adjust the angle according to the equipment instructions. If the folding knife or folding plate has become deformed, it needs to be replaced with new parts.
Adjust the device's folding parameters according to the nature and thickness of the paper. Some folding machines can directly set the folding angle corresponding to different papers through the operation panel, ensuring that each folding can reach the standard angle.
6.Poor folding flatness
reason:
The uneven surface of the folding plate may be caused by wear and tear due to long-term use or foreign matter adhering to it.
The pressure of the folding knife is unevenly distributed, causing wrinkles or bulges in the paper after folding.
Solution:
Check and clean the surface of the folding plate, use sandpaper to lightly sand the uneven surface, or replace the folding plate with a new one.
Adjust the pressure distribution of the folding knife and check whether the cutting edge of the folding knife is worn. If it is worn, it needs to be replaced in time. At the same time, the pressure can be evenly distributed on the paper by adjusting the support device of the folding knife.
7.The machine is too noisy
reason:
Wear of mechanical parts, such as gears, bearings and other parts, will produce loud noise during operation.
Loose transmission components, such as loose screws, loose belts, etc., will cause vibration and noise when the machine is running.
Lack of lubrication. If the various moving parts of the machine are not lubricated in time, noise will be generated during the friction process.
Solution:
Check and replace worn mechanical parts, such as worn gears, bearings, etc.
Tighten loose transmission components, check whether the screws are loose, and whether the belt is slack. If there are any problems, adjust them in time.
Fully lubricate the machine and add an appropriate amount of lubricant to each lubrication point according to the lubrication requirements of the equipment.
