Solving the Four Difficulties of Folding Machine in Use

During the use of each instrument and machinery, there are more or less related quality problems. For the folding machine that is most frequently used in the printing industry, the four common problems in its operation are particularly troublesome. Therefore, it is most correct to solve them in a timely manner. Today, here is a detailed introduction to the four major problem-solving methods for folding machines during use.

Many operators who use origami machines are confused about how to effectively solve the four major problems that often occur in origami machines. Here, the following are detailed points for everyone:

Firstly, the folding machine's drawing line is unstable

There are many factors that can cause instability in the drawing line of a folding machine, mainly concentrated in the following aspects:

1. The distance between the inlet of the gauge holder and the operating edge of the paper table is too far;

2. The improper combination ratio of plastic balls and steel balls usually requires more steel and less plastic when folding thin paper, and less steel and more plastic when folding thick paper;

3. The placement of the paper support steel plate on the bridge of the folding machine is improper, and it is too close to the edge of the paper end;

4. The first and second sets of folding rollers of the folding machine have too light pressure or uneven pressure at both ends;

5. The size of the front stopper of the folding fence is not suitable for the cutting paper.

Secondly, the folding machine runs pages during the folding process

Page running refers to the situation where the paper cannot fit tightly against the spine after folding is completed. The occurrence of page running is generally after the second or third fold, and the main reason for page running is the uneven internal and external friction of the folding roller when the folding machine is vertically cutting. The solution is as follows:

1. Reduce the pressure near the gauge by increasing and adjusting the folding roller pressure;

2. By adjusting the angle of the vertical folding knife to keep it away from the side of the gauge when cutting, avoid the folding knife from touching the paper table first;

3. When the paper reaches the second or third fold, attention should be paid to adjusting the folding knife so that the center line of the paper is on the same line as the folding knife of the next fold.

Thirdly, the folding machine folds the paper at the corner during one fold

Folding is a common phenomenon in the folding process, which is caused by the large gap between the guide plate and the folding roller when the paper passes through the folding roller, making it easy for the moving paper to enter this gap, resulting in folding. The solution is simple, by adjusting the upper and lower positions of the guide plate to ensure that the left and right clearance distance between it and the folding roller is the same.

Fourth, the folding machine does not punch the holes correctly during the second fold

Improper punching is usually caused by inconsistent gaps between the folding rollers of the folding machine or improper depth of the double folding knife when cutting, so it is necessary to regularly check whether the punching blade is worn;

The four major problems that folding machines often encounter during operation are listed above. We hope that after understanding them, everyone can promptly repair and solve the folding machine they are using, so as to effectively ensure the normal working rate of the folding machine.
